I took some of my guests on an Aurora chase, to look for some of the best spots on the coastline of Kvaløya. Of course the forecast plays a lot on where to go and how to pick a spot. This night, clouds were coming from the south, so the strategy was to get to the coast as soon as we could, to capture the clear sky toward the west before they cover it completely. We see them coming slowly on the left side of this shot, and it helps us understand how timing is so important.
